About Prana Labs

Prana Labs Inc. is a health technology company in Vancouver, Canada, founded in 2025 by Dhruv Adhia and Deepali Raiththa. It builds calm, screen-free technology for the nervous system: Vayu, a haptic breathing app for phones and smartwatches, and Vayu Kids, a breathing companion for children that is now in development. Prana Labs works in a research partnership with Simon Fraser University's Metacreation Lab and is supported by the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP).

About Vayu

Vayu is a breathing app for iOS and Android that guides each breath through gentle vibrations on an Apple Watch or Wear OS watch, so a session works with eyes closed and no screen. It covers techniques from box breathing, 4-7-8 and cyclic sighing to traditional pranayama such as nadi shodhana and bhastrika. After each session Vayu reads the heart rate variability the watch records and uses it to shape the next one. Vayu has 70,000+ downloads in 15+ countries, and a 199-participant pilot study of the app is under peer review.

About Vayu Kids

Vayu Kids is a soft plush breathing companion with a parent app, designed for children aged 3 to 9. A slow glow and a soft hum pace the child's breath, and parents choose the voice, the limits and the bedtime from their phone. It has no camera and no open internet. Vayu Kids is in development, with an early family list open at vayukids.com. No price or launch date has been announced.
